1.) Watch the following clip:
Describe what is a person’s ‘conscience’.
A persons conscience is the voice inside of that person. It tells them what to do every day of every minute of every second of their lives. Your conscience governs what you eat, what you watch and most importantly what you decide. The conscience is like your mouth that no-one else can hear. The conscience has always two sides: The side in which to do the right thing and the the side in which to do the wrong thing(Devil Donald and Angel Donald).
2.) Watch the following clip:
Describe how a persons conscience works in making moral decisions. Explain the relationship between religion and conscience.
The conscience works in making moral decisions by assessing the situation and finding a solution that is possible for the person to do. They will make a decision based o the conscience’s moral maturity. If the conscience is has a basic moral maturity it most likely to select a solution that the person will not receive and punishment. A very developed conscience would select a solution that would concern everyone and its environment. The relationship between religion and the conscience is that the solution taken by the conscience is based on the persons belief and their religion. religion can force the consciouses to do certain things. religion has a big influence on the conscience and what the solution would be.

1.) Define the term “Moral Maturity”
Moral Maturity refers to having the correct conscience to make the right decision in life.
2.) Read the following article:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/knife-arrest-cop-pelted/2008/03/24/1206206967590.html
Discuss the reasons why the 25 year old man mentioned in the article would be regarded as having a lack of ‘moral maturity’.
This 25 year old man has committed a sin and has been charged for around 11 offenses. The man’s most serious mistake take was that he couldn’t decide around his conscience. The man can be regarded as having a lack of moral maturity because he didn’t recognize what the right thing was to do in the situation of damaging some one else’s property adn dropping a knife when the police were on pursuit after the 25 year-old man.
3.) Identify the differences between ‘morality’ and ‘immorality’.
In terms of philosophy, that depends on the philosopher and his or her beliefs. It also probably depends on your beliefs. In general, something that agrees with your view of morality or moral law is moral, and anything outside that is immoral.
In terms of religion, it also depends on your beliefs, but morality is usually ascribed to things that God considers right and good, and immoral things are things that God condemns.
… overall, we do share (all religions and non-religions) some basic moral values as a culture. For instance… killing another human being is generally condemned. Different cultures have different beliefs about many things, but there are commonalities around which we usually build laws and the structure of our societies.
4.) Watch the following clip and describe the reasons why Governor Spitzer’s actions would be regarded as ‘immoral’.Governor Spritzer’s actions would be regarded as immoral because many people in America looked up to him and he was also a family man of 3 daughters but he went behind everyones back and did the wrong thing and set a bad example to his daughters and all the women in America.

I will be a living presence of God by helping less fortunate people then me. I will help them by donating clothes and money. I will put money to the project compassion and if i have clothes that i dont need, i will give it to the clothbin. The reason for helping less fortunate people then me is that all people should live equally. People shouldnt be treated differently because of who they are. They should not do that because we are all the same, we are all humans. We have all the things we need such as money, food and clothes but some people suffer so much in this world while we are living in peace.

ANALYSE COMPOSITIONAL MEANINGS
Compositional Meanings concern the layout of the text.
Write up your Compositional analysis in your Edublog
The most salient feature in dps 10 is the portrait. The portrait is big and is placed in the centre of the page which makes our eys focus on the portrait. The curved lines outlining the portrait makes us think that the buildings inside the portrait are endless.
This helps us get the message because the composer focuses our attention on the most important object in the page.

How does the picture book, the rabbit create meaning?
March 15th, 2008 by ykim
The picture book, the rabbit creates meaning because the rabbits are a metaphor for the white settlers of australia and the story is about their negative effect on the world of the aboriginal people. Still the story is one sided. In this picture book there are many themes, such as the lost culture, stolen generation and the colonisation. These themes are created by many visual techniques such as representational, compositional and interactive.
In dps 10, i have chosen the theme ‘colonisation’. The visual technique representational helps create this theme because it creates a strong vector that draws our eyes towards the potrait that has a lot of buildings inside. It means that the white settlers are establishing a base on the aboriginal people’s land and they are doing it in a rapid pace.
The visual technique called interactive also help create the theme colonisation because it draws our attention to the portrait with the buildings. The reason our attention is drawn to the potrait is because the portrait is done with a high modality and the portrait is drawn with a lot of details. The camera angle is close and the portrait is placed right in the centre of the page.
Compositional helps create the theme colonisation because the most salient feature is the portrait. The composer wants us to see the portrait because the main message lies inside the portrait. The big curved lines outlining the portrait makes the buildings inside the image endless.
In conclusion the picture book, the rabbit create meaning because it tells us about themes of what happened to the aboriginal people when the white settlers came into their land.

1.ANALYSE REPRESENTATIONAL MEANINGS
Representing or depicting an object in a recognizable manner
2.Write up your Representational analysis in your Edublog (The rabbits pg 9)
There are strong vectors that draw our attention in the mirror with the lot of buildings. These are created by the white background making the mirror stand out. The composer is drawing our attention to the mirror because he/she wants to tell us that the mirror symbolizes how the white settlers came in the aboriginal peoples land and started to build buildings all over the land.
3.At least one paragraph about how these techniques help bring across the message of the book.
It helps us because these techniques make the message stand out. These techniques draw our attention to the main object the composer wants us to see.
